The $18.5-million exhibition center is the first phase in the Clark County Fairgrounds Master Plan. At 112,000 sf, with 97,200 square feet of unobstructed show space, the new exhibition center is almost the size of two football fields. This amazing facility was constructed with over 5,000 cubic yard of concrete and 780 tons of structural steel.
This Exhibition Hall represents the rural charm that has pervaded Clark County history. The red roof and board formed walls help retain the spirit of county fairgrounds. Behind this icon of pastoral heritage there is a technically advanced facility, supportive of today’s needs. Three distinct halls can be configured in six unique setups with two moveable air walls. There are six phone lines at 56 locations as well as high speed data connections and wireless internet access throughout the building. Four coiling doors, two with flat driveway access, five loading dock bays, and a truck ramp provide access into the hall. All of this is encased in 50,000 sf of tilt-up concrete with over 16,000 lf of cast-in-place and tooled reveals. The use of concrete for the Exhibition Hall allowed a fusion of the classic character of a simple barn with the sophistication and long-term viability necessary for a successful event facility.
